Miralem Pjanic has recently come out to dismiss his PR representatives announcement of his speculated transfer from Roma to current the Scudetto holders Juventus. Accordingly the agent had implied that the release clause has been activated and indicated that a deal can be expected to be completed ‘very soon’.
Roma superstar & Bosnia-Herzegovina international Miralem Pjanic could be moving from Roma to Juventus, according to Adis Junuzovic, his PR representative and a member of his entourage.
Since the conclusion of the Serie A season, rumours have been rife that the Bosnia-Herzegovina international will complete his transfer to the current Serie A Champions. Juventus are supposedly close to achieving this by activating the fee in his release clause that states if that figure is met, the capital club will have no choice but allow him to move on. The fee is speculated to be in the region of 38 million euros, with a portion of that amount going to Pjanic himself to be split into his wage payments.
Speaking to Bosnian website N1, Junuzovic stated the following:
“Juventus have activated the €38m clause and we expect to finalise the transfer very soon. There were a lot of clubs interested in him; PSG, Chelsea, Barcelona. Juventus were the fastest and most concrete. [The signing of the contract] should happen within the next week, and then there’s the official presentation.”
Talking to news agency ANSA, Pjanic himself has come out to dismiss this announcement stating:
“He has no right to speak for me. If something is to be announced, it’ll be by the Roma President (James Pallotta). Only my lawyer Michael Becker can permit himself to express an opinion in my name about the contract situation. Anyone else who does so is a liar.”
Time will tell if the move will happen or not and if so, then it will be interesting to see who Roma will target to replace the star. Pjanic has starred in midfield since 2011 and has amassed 185 appearances.
