PSG are ready to smash a club record fee on Gonzalo Higuain to replace the departing Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
According to Sport Mediaset, Higuain is a top priority for incoming manager Unai Emery.
The Argentine striker has a 94m euros release clause and owner Aurelio De Laurentiis had insisted any club interested must pay that fee.
“The Hitman” broke an all-time Serie A record last season scoring 36 goals, a record held for 65 years by Gunnar Nordahl.
PSG and Napoli have a transfer history with the French club having signed Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi from the Naples club.
