The want away Juventus wingback has potential suitors in Turkey.
A few weeks ago, Mauricio Isla was quoted saying that he’s “simply not good enough” and doesn’t belong in the Juventus ranks. A remark that may have in hindsight earned him a bit of respect from the Juventus faithful, for inadvertently apologizing for his poor performances.
In a report from Turkey, Trabzonspor are conducting an inquiry over acquiring Isla’s services for at least the 2016/17 season.
Last year, Isla spent the season on loan with Olympique Marseille, who had a terrible season in League 1, finishing outside the European competition places.
Isla was signed by Juventus from Udinese in 2012 for about €15 million. He spent two seasons with the Bianconeri before being shipped out on loan to QPR and eventually OM where both declined to take up the option to keep him permanently.
The 28 year old is currently in the United States partaking in the Copa America for Chile.
