Juventus-Lazio: Player Ratings

Juventus hosted a resurgent Lazio side at the Juventus Stadium and prevailed by a score of 3-0.

Here’s how we broke down the bianconeri’s individual performances.

GOALKEEPER –

Buffon (6.0) –  The veteran custodian quite frankly had nothing to do against Lazio tonight therefore he gets a standard rating of 6.

DEFENDERS –

Barzagli (7.0) – Another immense performance from the Italy international at the back. Made a crucial tackle early in the second half as Keita was entering the box.

Bonucci (6.5) – Like his teammate, Bonucci had a very solid game at the heart of defense dictating play nicely. Won a penalty to ice the game.

Rugani (6.5) – With each passing game, Rugani is getting better and better and is slowly overtaking Chiellini in the eleven. Has Juve’s BBC gone to a BBR?

MIDFIELDERS –

Lichtsteiner (7.0) – Always relishes a game against his former employers and it showed tonight. The Swiss Express was in fine form and marauding the right flank all game.

Khedira (6.5) – The former Real Madrid man went about his job in a professional fashion and did well to find Dybala for the third goal.

Hernanes (6.0) – Propheta had a solid but ultimately unspectacular game against his former club. Proving to be an adequate vice-Marchisio.

Pogba (7.0) – Yet another man of the match performance from the Frenchman. His assist to Mandzukic means he has had a direct contribution in 9 of Juventus’ 15 last goals.

Alex Sandro (6.5) – The Brazilian was rested on the weekend against Palermo and looked fresh tonight. Almost opened the scoring with a thunderous effort from outside the box. Constant threat.

FORWARDS –

Dybala (7.5) MOTM – La Joya put in an impressive ninety minutes and has slotted back into the eleven seamlessly since returning from injury. Could have easily had a hat-trick on the night.

Mandzukic (7.0) – The veteran striker is the man of the moment right now as his game-winning goal against Lazio is his third goal in four games.

SUBS –

Stefano Sturaro (6.0) – Came on for Khedira in the final twenty minutes and didn’t do anything of note.
Zaza (6.0) – Played the final fifteen minutes after coming on for Dybala and almost found the back of the net but saw his effort parried away.
Asamoah (N/A) – The Ghanaian played the closing eight minutes and didn’t do much other than a nice pass to Zaza that almost resulted into a goal.
