A crazy 3-2 win from Roma which saw a lot of ups and downs from Spalletti’s men in the 90 minutes of play. Here are Roma’s player ratings vs Torino
Szczesny (5.5): Horrible night from the Polish keeper. Could have done a lot better on Torino’s second goal.
Maicon (6): Not the greatest night for the Roma defender. Looked very sluggish and never really made overlapping runs, which is key in a Spalletti fullback
Manolas (6.5): A very weird game from Manolas. Conceded a penalty but then picked up a goal and an assist to make up for it
Rudiger (7): Decent night from the German. Was very solid for all 90 minutes
Emerson (4): His first start of the season for Roma. He looked rusty and make a lot of foolish mistakes. Emerson looked lost multiple times.
Keita (6.5): Replaced De Rossi in the midfield and he wasn’t too effective. Sometimes seemed like a non-factor
Florenzi (7): Average night for the versatile Italian. Could have done better, but he worked very hard for his team
Nainggolan (7.5): As usual, Nainggolan was hustling and doing Roma’s dirty work. Good night for him. Came close to scoring from a couple long distance shots
Salah (7): Average night for Mohamed. He was heavily involved but couldn’t really make ‘that’ difference. Torino did well to close him down
Perotti (6.5): It can be argued this was his worst performance from Roma. Never really got clicking. Made some foolish passes.
El Shaarawy (6.5): Average night for the Italian. Wasn’t really effective for Roma on the night
SUBS:
Dzeko (6): Though he didn’t score, he did well to push away defenders, making more room for Roma
Totti (10): Perfect night for the captain who came on when it was 2-1 and by himself made it 3-2 for Roma with two goals. The eternal captain lives on.
