Two of Italy’s brightest stars are being targeted by one of Russia’s premier clubs.
As reported by Gianluca Di Marzio, Zenit Saint Petersburg’s Technical Director was in attendance at the Castellani for Empoli versus Fiorentina to watch Federico Bernardeschi and Riccardo Saponara, who were both in the Starting XI of their respective clubs.
The two players check off all the boxes of the type of players Zenit are looking to bring to Russia. However, Bernardeschi is reported to be the preferred choice over Saponara at the moment as the interest from the Russian champions is said to be concrete.
