The Partenopei have no interest in selling their Senegalese centerhalf.
Last week Kalidou Koulibaly publicly stated that he may leave Napoli as the club have not offered him a new and improved contract. De Laurentiis was not happy with the player’s comments, but is not giving up on his future with the club.
According to Sky Sport, there is heavy interest from abroad for the former Genk defender. Bayern Munich placed an official bid on the table, but Napoli’s response was simple and decisive, ‘no’.
Antonio Conte and Chelsea may be another potential suitor. It’s likely that the Italian will want to bring in some Serie A players, especially in the back to reinforce the side.
Koulibaly enjoyed a renaissance year in Naples under head coach Maurizio Sarri, he’s now touted as one of the top defenders in Serie A.
