Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri spoke to reporters in the press room at Vinovo [Juve’s training ground], ahead of the clash with Bologna.
“Tomorrow Khedira will play. Winning is the most important thing, seeing that at home in the league we still haven’t won in it. But we also have to have a convincing performance: playing only well is easier than obtaining a result. In the league the results are not on our side and Bologna must be tackled with the knowledge that it will be tough. It’s like what happened with Frosinone, the ball is in play until the referee whistles the end.”
“I’m very pleased with Wednesday’s game. The guys played well and were very focused, Sevilla only had one shot on target. Is it the turning point? I believe very little in ‘turning points’. It’s more difficult to maintain continuity of your performances and results. The Champions League is different and you play it very differently from the Serie A and tomorrow against Bologna it will be the most important game of the year. I asked the guys to give me a nice ‘rest’, with a victory. We have to be quick at a technical level, with the thought that the game could go in a certain way.”
