Juventus keeper Gianluigi Buffon spoke to the media following his side’s second consecutive stalemate and touched upon his historic achievement.
Tonight marked the second game in a row that Juventus were unable to find the back of the net. The bianconeri, however, still sit in a comfortable position in the group in first. After the game against Borussia Moenchengladbach, Buffon told reporters,:
“Based off the play, we could have won this game but we barely created any clearcut goal-scoring opportunities. We dominated the game and had a push at the end but it’s not like they stole a point from us.”
In today’s game, Buffon became the Juventus player to have played the most minutes in the history of the club surpassing the record previously set by Alessnadro Del Piero. In regards to this, the legendary keeper said,:
“It’s a nice accomplishment that satisfies me. That said, what truly matters are the successes that you can share with your teammates and the fans.”
