Today it was announced that for the first time in five years Juventus were able to turn a profit following their near historic season.
It was an important day for Juventus as they announced a positive balance sheet after spending five years in the red. The side’s exploits in last year’s edition of the Champions League that saw them reach the final, certainly helped in this respect. All in all, the Italian champions were able to register a 2.3 million euro profit in comparison to last year.
Back in 2011, Juventus finished the season with 95 million euros in debt. Off the back of four consecutive successful seasons and a near treble-winning year, the Turin-based outfit were finally able to put a halt to that negative trend and has seen them earn a revenue of around 328 million euros.
Agnelli made this one of his most important objectives five years ago and with the help of his board, he worked extremely hard towards achieving it. With the team’s success coupled with the new stadium, Juventus are expected to continue to make positive strides in this regard moving forward.
