A draw at home against an inferior team may feel like a loss to some fans, in the case of tonight’s Juventus vs Borussia M’Gladbach, the Bianconeri faithful may feel that way.
The truth is, Paul Pogba needs to step up and take some of the blame on his shoulders tonight.
His night can be summed up with over 10 missed shots, countless misplaced passes and even more giveaways. Simply put, it was not the kind of night where he would like to remember.
Statistically speaking, he completed 83.9% of his passes including 4 key passes and 10 shots, which it goes without saying, all of them missed the back of the net.
Pogba led the team with bad touches and giveaways, but perhaps the most worrying thing that took place tonight were his post match comments where he responded to critics in a worrying manner. “The #10 is just a number”
Those aren’t the words of a champion, especially of somebody who requested the famous jersey, which has been graced by Juventus legends such as Alessandro Del Piero, Michel Platini and Roberto Baggio.
The booming impact of Pogba has been largely stifled this season, among a slew of reasons, it is both a result of the personnel and formation changes.
