The Fiorentina winger was voted the #1 U-21 player in Italy of the year.
The Italian coaches organization (AIC) voted today in Coverciano on the top youngster of the season and in the end, Bernardeschi ended up with the most votes accrued by coaches in Serie A, Serie B and Lega Pro.
In a small statement at the ceremony, the delegation read that Bernardeschi “demonstrated the best talent and leadership on and off the field in technique and for personality.”
The Viola winger is the latest winner of the award which over the past few years has gone to Lorenzo Insigne, Domenico Berardi and Alessio Romagnoli.
