Roma, Seydou Keita: “Rudi Garcia? I respect him”

Seydou Keita spoke to Roma TV on the eve of the Derby della Capitale, in which he defended ex-coach Rudi Garcia.

“It wasn’t easy to come play for Roma, however in the end, playing for Roma is also a tremendous honor. Many people told me that I was finished, even after being here for two years. I was proud of myself, for a foreign player the Italian teams are Inter, Milan, Juventus and Roma, prestigious teams. I could play wherever it makes me feel proud. I’m happy to continue to defend these colors. Garcia? I respect him a lot because even if it finished badly it was our fault, the players. The result always depends on the players. When things go bad it’s always the coaches fault. ”

On the derby: “I’m a professional, every game is important, but when you talk about the derby it’s like it’s worth three more points. Also there’s pride on the line, I don’t want to say that the other games are ‘losable’ but this game can bring a lot of joy. Not just a little one.”
