Giacomo Bonaventura will be the newest member of the Italy squad after receiving the call from Conte this morning.
The AC Milan midfielder has been doing very well under new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and was tipped by many to be called up last Sunday.
Unfortunately for Lorenzo Insigne and Napoli, it seems his knee injury is more severe than expected and has been forced to leave the camp.
Bonaventura, since making his debut for the Azzurri on May 31st 2013, has only managed to make one other appearance and that was over a year later against Albania in 2014.
With both games being friendlies, it will be interesting to see how the Milan midfielder plays in competitive matches against challenging adversaries Azerbaijan and Norway.
