Insigne: “I’ve always dreamed of playing for Napoli”

The Neapolitan forward spoke at La Nazionale’s training camp today.  Here is what he said:

Insigne: “Naples is my hometown, Napoli is my team.  I’ve always dreamt of playing there.”

The talented winger/ trequartista spoke very fondly of his hometown club today at Italia’s press conference, which also featured Fabio Quagliarella.

“Sarri is doing a great job, we all had faith in him from day one.”

I firmly believe that Napoli’s current form is due to Sarri’s hard work for the club.  Rafa Benitez had a similar talent pool when he was at the helm, however the team never really looked to have the same will to win as this Napoli does under Sarri.

“Antonio Conte knows all of his players and their strengths.  It’s his decision who plays where.”

Will Antonio Conte start Insigne against Azerbaijan?  With Conte’s switch to 4-3-3 very likely, it seems as though Insigne would be used as a left winger for the Azzurri.  Italy could certainly use his creativity in attack, with El Shaarawy and other players struggling to put in good performances for the Azzurri recently.

With the sudden resurgence of Insigne on the world of football.  If used correctly for the national team, he could be that player that Italy has been lacking ever since Pirlo, a player that will keep the oppositions coach up all night.
