Leonardo Bonucci spoke to SKY Sports the day after Italy qualified for EURO 2016 in France
“In times of difficulty, everybody criticizes the work of the players and of the coach. We always knew that Conte would do well, and that’s how it’s been.
“We reached qualification and this is a great result for Italy, restarting from the scenes of the disastrous World Cup in Brazil.
“Now we need to fight, all together, for a single objective, we’re a great group with great quality.
“There are very prominent youngsters and experienced players like Buffon, Chiellini, Barzagli, Pirlo and De Rossi.
“There’s a good mix, we’ve made a small pass forward with qualifying. Now we have to prepare ourselves for a very difficult Euro.”
