Juventus issue medical statement on Alvaro Morata

During Spain’s UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier against Luxembourg, Alvaro Morata was stretchered off the pitch because of a strong clash to his leg.

The first signs were very negative, with the player holding his face when being taken off the pitch, one could only fear the worst. It seemed like a long time on the sideline was inevitable.

Today, Juventus changed the tune of the story when they released an official statement.

“Morata has returned from Spain and has visited the Juventus medical staff who has confirmed the diagnosis made by our colleagues from the Spanish national side. The number 9 suffered a very strong knock to his right leg but there is no fracture. The player’s condition will be monitered in the next few days to define the timetable to return to training.”

Juventus, as a whole can breathe a sigh of relief following the statement made by club doctors.

However, his status is unknown for the Derby d’Italia next Sunday.

The player did however Tweet that he is working hard to recover in time.
