In his sixteenth appearance for the Italian national team, Matteo Darmian slotted home his first international goal for Italy that sends them through to Euro 2016 in France. Not being a specialist in harming opposing defense, the goal comes as a little surprise.
The Italian full back did have five goals for Torino last season, so it might not be too much of a surprise to some, but scoring for the national team is a different beast.
Impressing and boasting his talents under the bright lights of Old Trafford in the Premiere League for Manchester United and finally scoring for the national team, it seems as if the road Matteo Darmian has taken is the right one.
