After his side’s friendly win over Monza, Milan boss Sinisa Mihajlovic spoke to the media outlining his team’s struggles and touched upon his future.
Milan haven’t been in the best of form lately and have lost their last two games against Genoa and Napoli respectively. Despite the partenopei being the superior team, it was the manner in which Milan lost that angered the rossoneri faithful. The loss also reportedly put Mihajlovic on the hot-seat going into Milan’s upcoming games.
After his side’s win in a friendly over Monza, the manager told Mediaset Premium,:
“It was a good test and allowed me to give minutes to the guys who haven’t played so much this season. It was a good training session. In the first half we played with our usual system but in the second half we changed it to find different options.”
On his reported meeting with Galliani:
“We spoke about football and opposed each other on a few things. It was a constructive talk but we talk everyday to find solutions to our problems. It’s a difficult time for us as the team is not playing well or getting results. It’s not the first time I’m put in a difficult situation, we’ll get out of it.”
On his phone call with Berlusconi:
“I called the president. It’s only right to talk to him. Sometimes he calls me while other times I call him. It’s normal. He’s calm.”
