Recently Argentine papers reported that Carlos Tevez may return to Juventus in the January transfer window but it remains highly unlikely.
After news broke out that Carlos Tevez was yet to be paid by Boca Juniors, the rumor mill began to take off. Within a moment’s notice, all the major papers in Argentina reported that the former Manchester City man would return to Italy. The reports, however, would prove to be nothing more than rumors as it is currently impossible for Juventus to bring another foreigner into the side due to the non-European player rule in Serie A.
Transfer market expert, Alfredo Pedulla, spoke about this on Sportitalia and said,:
“Juventus do not have any spots for foreigners. At times, rumors emerge that don’t make any sense just for the sake of creating rumors. We’re talking about a transaction that is impossible to happen in January.”
Tevez always expressed his love for Boca Juniors before returning to Argentina. In addition to the player’s will to remain at home, a deal that would see him return to Italy is impossible. Hopefully this will put all these rumors to bed. Well, at least until the next international break.
