Napoli’s team doctor Alfonso De Nicola spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss after Lorenzo Insigne returned to Castelvolturno.
“He’s in good shape, he doesn’t have big problems with the knee. The dilemma was created because of the concerned parties, but he was taken care of and Castellacci [the Azzurri team doctor] quelled any concerns.
“He’s come back because it was preferable not to risk him. His healthy knee is stronger than the other, it’s been a case exaggerated on nothing.
“When you go to play in big games, it’s preferable to be at 1oo%. After a knock, that’s not possible.
“We preferred that he recovers before Tuesday, when the club restarts training.
“I’m confident that he’ll be fit for Fiorentina.”
