Italy forward Graziano Pellè spoke to reporters after his game-winning goal against Norway that gifted his side the three points and first place in the group.
Southampton’s Graziano Pellè is enjoying his football at the moment and this was on display over the course of this international break. Today, the forward scored the crucial goal against Norway that sent Italy through as group winners. After the game he told reporters,:
“I always say this: Conte gives the team a winning mentality and is constantly looking to get the best out of the players. The objective was to qualify for the Euros and we did exactly that. Today, the goal was to get a result that would see us finish first in the group and we did just that. I could have done more but it’s also nice to sacrifice myself for the team as there are plenty of quality players around me.”
