Former Roma striker Roberto Pruzzo was a guest on radio program Radio Radio where he talked about Roma and their defensive woes.
“I would sign Benatia, at Bayern he’s not been great, however in Italy he still has a lot to give. Given the situation with Castàn, who is still not in great shape, Roma need to react. They still have time until January to think about it well, but Benatia would be ideal.”
This season Roma’s defense has been less than stellar, conceding 13 goals in 9 matches. Given injuries to Castàn and Rudiger, Norbert Gyomber has had to play in their stead, and given his lack of experience, more often than not Daniele de Rossi has had to back track onto the defensive line for matches.
Roma’s defense is not in good shape, Sabatini should be looking at January as an oppurtunity to make up for mistakes made during the summer transfer window.
