Italian national team coach Antonio Conte commented on the Euro 2016 draw that took place today.
Italy will be in Group E with Belgium, Sweden and Ireland.
Here is Conte’s reaction:
“I believe Belgium are an excellent team, and are among the favourites for the final. They have a young team with a lot of top players in their ranks. I see us equal with Sweden and Ireland. We all know the strengths of [Sweden striker] Zlatan [Ibrahimovic]. Ireland are certainly a team who play with a lot of emotion, intensity and are strong with their team spirit. So we have to be careful.”
“Starting the tournament against Belgium is very important, I prefer playing against the strongest team first.”
