Over the last few weeks a number of Serie A teams have inquired about Sergio Floccari ahead of the January transfer window.
Despite limited appearances, Sergio Floccari is getting on the scoresheet at Sassuolo and has caught the attention of another Serie A club. As per Gianluca Di Marzio, Roberto Donadoni sees Floccari as the perfect alternative to Mattia Destro at Bologna.
Following a slow start to the season, Bologna have found their feet under Roberto Donadoni and will look to continue on their path to survival. While Destro is currently finding the back of the net with regularity, Floccari’s experience and pedigree in front of goal is something Bologna view as useful.
The 34-year old is currently out of contract and his future remains uncertain. Although Bologna could be a possible destination, Frosinone are also looking into utilizing his services. The newly-promoted side need an extra push in the final third and the former Lazio man might be just that.
