From a coveted Dutch playmaker to one of the Bundesliga’s most sought-after midfielders, Napoli is not hiding the fact they are aiming to strengthen their midfield.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla, Napoli have made significant contacts to Granit Xhaka‘s representatives and understand that it would likely take an offer higher than €15 million plus bonuses to convince Borussia Monchengladbach to sell.
Gifted with great passing vision and confident on the ball, Xhaka would be a key piece in Napoli realizing their Scudetto dreams. He would also be available to appear in the Europa League due to Mochengladbach finishing at the bottom of their Champions League group.
The 23-year old Swiss international can play as a central midfielder and as a trequartista. He has made 15 appearances in the Bundesliga for Mochengladbach this season, scoring 3 goals however his disciplinary record would need to improve. Xhaka has accumulated 4 yellow cards and 3 red cards.
