With the transfer window yet to open, Palermo have already made a signing in hopes of bolstering their under-fire attack.
Palermo have made their first signing of the winter break. As reported by Corriere dello Sport, 21-year old Manuel Arteaga, top scorer of the Venezuelan Primera Division for Zulia FC, is in Palermo and will take his medical on Monday.
Arteaga will be available immediately to partake in Ballardini’s squad for training. Upon his arrival at the Falcone-Borsellino airport, he stated: ‘
”I am doing very good. A bit tired but I am happy to have arrived here. I want to work hard and do well. I hope to score a lot of goals.”
This is Arteaga‘s second stint in Serie A. The Venezuelan goalscorer had been loaned out to Parma in the 2012/2013 season but never stepped foot on the field. Since then, he has spent the last 2 and a half seasons in his homeland, splitting his time between Deportivo Anzoategui and Zulia FC.
