Iturbe Signs With Bournemouth: Financial Details

Roma winger Juan Iturbe is set for a Premier League adventure as he is set to make his move to Bournemouth official shortly.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Iturbe will put pen to paper to a contract with newly-promoted Premier League side Bournemouth when the window opens that will see him earn 5 million euros per season, bonuses included. Over the last few days, it was reported that the former Hellas Verona man would sign with Watford but in the end Bournemouth offered the player more and he changed his mind.

Roma, on the other hand, will receive 24 million euros between the loan fee Bournemouth must pay and their obligation to buy, should they chose to make the move permanent at the end of the season. After signing with the giallorossi for 22.5 million euros, the Argentine failed to impress and as a result is now on his way out.

Under Rudi Garcia, Iturbe made 54 appearances in all competitions but was only able to find the back of the net four times and register three assists. With the arrivals of Mohamed Salah and Iago Falque in the summer, his opportunities to prove himself would have only diminished down the line.

At Bournemouth, the 22-year-old will not have the burden of his price-tag hanging over his head and will be able to express himself freely. Moreover, Bournemouth’s quick style of play along with the physical nature of the Premier League arguably suits the player’s characteristics better than Rudi Garcia’s system which is predicated on possession.
