Lazio have reportedly targeted a keeper in case they cannot come to an agreement with Federico Marchetti over a new contract.
There is already one Kalinic taking Serie A by storm with Fiorentina and Stefano Pioli is hoping that another one can have the same effect on Lazio, just not as a striker. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Pioli has targeted 25-year old Hadjuk Split Goalkeeper, Lovre Kalinic as a potential replacement for Marchetti, should a contract renewal not be agreed upon with the Italian shot-stopper. Marchetti’s contract expires in June 2016, which would open the door for Kalinic‘s arrival.
The 28-year old Croatian international has appeared a combined 28 times for Hadjuk Split between the Prva HNL and Europa League, amassing 11 clean sheets across both competitions. Chelsea are also admirers of Kalinic who would likely be a suitable back-up to Courtois, compared to a possible starting role that he may receive at Lazio.
