While Napoli aim to strengthen their squad with new additions, they are also keeping their eyes on those walking through the exit door. As per Gianluca Di Marzio, there are a few players who have packed their bags and are ready to leave as they can no longer find space under Sarri’s Napoli squad.
Jonathan de Guzman and Juan Camilo Zuniga are two players who see their futures outside of Naples. EPL newcomers Bournemouth are once again fishing into the Serie A sea after plucking Iturbe from Roma, eyeing both de Guzman and Zuniga to help them continue their already impressive domestic form.
As reported by Di Marzio last week, Henrique is closing in on a return to Brazil. Fluminense are in advanced negotiation for the center-back but are also facing competion from Gremio and Flamengo. Another Brazilian on the way out is 25-year old Goalkeeper, Rafael, who could end up at Besiktas or stay in Italy with a move to Carpi on the cards.
One of the biggest on-going issues at Napoli is the case of Manolo Gabbiadini. Used mostly as an alternative to Higuain under Sarri, the 24-year old Italian international has seen limited pitch time domestically despite scoring at will in the Europa League. As per Napoli, Gabbiadini will not leave the club but he wants to do everything possible to play and gain more on-field minutes.
The January mercato has yet to open but Napoli are already in preparation mode for not only those possibly coming in, but also for the ones planning their exit.
