Norwich Favor Move for Ranocchia

For the time being, Andrea Ranocchia is still wearing the colors of the Nerazzurri but as the mercato approaches, he may soon be dawning the colors of a brand new club.

Corriere dello Sport reports that EPL side Norwich are very interested in the Italian international and consider him the ideal option to help guide the club towards safety. An official offer was presented to Inter, with the Italian club said to be in agreement with the €11 million proposal however reports from England are that the offer is much lower, around €7 million. The only piece missing from a potential deal is Ranocchia‘s approval. Sevilla are also reported to be interested in him as a replacement for the currently injured Marco Andreolli. Inter hope to close a deal soon in order to use the funds to reinforce their squad in the January window.

Ranocchia, however, prefers to remain in Italy. Bologna are in the picture as well as they want to take the defender on loan and can offer him an important role at the club. At the moment, Ranocchia is leaning more towards Bologna than an option abroad.

With the arrivals of Murillo and Miranda over the summer, the 27-year old has found in difficult to surpass either of them for a consistent spot in Inter’s backline. He has made 10 appearances so far this season with only one of them coming as a starter.
