After reports surfaced about a possible move to Spain for Giuseppe Rossi, they appear to have fizzled out for a number of reasons.
Giuseppe Rossi is sure to be heading out of Fiorentina during the January mercato but a return to La Liga via Real Betis is no longer a possibility. Alfredo Pedulla reports that Spanish newspaper Estadio Deportivo have been tracking the interest of the Iberian club for Rossi in the last few days.
The latest is that due to economic difficulties and the lack of guaranteed playing time, Betis will no longer be a considered destination for the Italian.
Rossi has spent a majority of his time at Fiorentina on the injured list. With the EURO taking place this upcoming summer, Rossi‘s objective is to get continuous playing time in hopes of convincing Antonio Conte of a place in the Azzurri’s final squad.
