Lazio could be willing to sell their Brazilian star for a hefty sum.
Under scrutiny by the fans for their lackluster performances, poor domestic standing and failure in the Champions League, Manchester United want to soothe their supporters by bringing in one of Serie A’s top stars to add flare and creativity to their set-up.
According to Alfredo Pedulla, English newspaper The Times reports that Manchester United are ready to dip into their pockets and make Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson their number one objective in the January window. United would be willing to offer about €45 million to tempt Lazio into selling one of their prized assets. The Red Devils are hoping that a signing of this nature will help them rise up from their current crisis as they sit a surprising 6th in the EPL table.
Anderson was a key component in Lazio’s 3rd-place finish last season with 10 goals, qualifying for the Champions League in the process. This season, the Brazilian is the club’s leading goalscorer with 4, notching one assist and earning two yellow cards along the way.
