Following the home tie to BATE Borisov, Roma owner James Pallotta spoke to the press where he said: “The team deserves applause, but all it gets are boos. They work hard day in day out and deserve a better fan base.”
The Curva Sud have been on strike the majority of this season due to the restrictions that Pallotta and the CONI are trying to impose in the stadium, by putting barriers in the Curva Sud.
Representatives from the Roma faithful have come out and said “We are fans, not criminals.”
Surely these allegations by Pallotta will not do his image any good amongst the Romanisti.
However even Rudi Garcia has spoken on this issue saying “With the absence of the Curva Sud, the atmosphere is completely different.”
Even though Roma drew against BATE, they find themselves off to the final 16 of the Champions League for the first time under Garcia and the American ownership. This success may push the board to allocate more funds for Sabatini to make some new transfers in January, where he has stated that he will be adding more pieces to Garcia’s squad.
