MLS MVP award winner Sebastian Giovinco could be reunited with his younger brother Giuseppe at Toronto FC.
Sebastian Giovinco was recently interviewed by Sky Sports Italy where he had a bit of nostalgia regarding Juventus, who face Fiorentina in a marquee matchup on Sunday.
“I miss the atmosphere at Juventus and of certain matches. However I am happy where I am and hope to finish my career here. However in football never say never.”
One thing that will help cement his stay is the potential of reuniting with his younger brother Giuseppe, who is playing with Pisa in the Italian 3rd division and has a contract that expires in June.
We reported the potential for this to occur back in January, when Giovinco was rumoured to anticipate his departure from Juventus to Toronto FC.
As the saying goes “where there’s smoke there’s fire” and reports have Giuseppe training with Toronto FC, courtesy of Anthony Totera, host of the soccer show Red Card.

Expecting Giuseppe to move from 3rd division in Italy to MLS is a bit of a stretch. The more realistic scenario would have him playing in the USL with TFC II. However the potential for one day playing with his older brother Sebastian can serve as motivation. No matter what happens on the pitch, we can guarantee a family reunion off the pitch will be beneficial for both of them.
