Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri spoke to reporters following his side’s triumph over Torino and gave his two cents on the refereeing mistakes.
In his post-match interview with Mediaset Premium, the former Milan boss said,:
“The team played a good game. It wasn’t simple. Getting eliminated on Wednesday in the 90th minute isn’t easy. The guys played a balanced game. It was a derby that was played away from home, now we have eight games left with five of them coming at home.”
On Dybala’s condition:
“He took a knock to his flexor. He started the game well doing good things but the knock took him out of the game. Morata came on and scored two goals, he reacted. From here until the end, we’ll need more than eleven players. Whoever comes in has to do good. We’re a group.”
On the game:
“It was a penalty shot due to a small mistake from Alex Sandro but then there was Torino’s comeback push. They had to do something, but the team reacted and brought the game home. Taking shots from outside the box on a field like this is hard but it bounces poorly for us and them.”
On Ventura lamenting the referee’s decisions:
“I’ve never spoken, I’ve won 19 games and drew one. A few moments don’t take away from what the team has done. We suffered enough in the Champions League. Rizzoli had a good game and called what he saw”
On Buffon’s record:
“It’s a deserved record. Going ten games without conceding a goal isn’t simple. Making saves on one shot per game isn’t easy. He deserves it, he’s a great person. I didn’t want to have a bad Easter, we’ve had an important run. Now it’s time to concentrate on the final stretch.”
