This weekend’s MLS action pitted two of Serie A’s former stars against each other as Toronto FC’s Sebastian Giovinco and New York City’s FC Andrea Pirlo faced off at Yankee Stadium. But they weren’t the only stars to feature as Michael Bradley and Nigel De Jong among others all made appearances this weekend.
For each round of the 2016 Major League Soccer season Italian Football Daily will be reviewing how a handful of ex-Serie A stars performed for their respective clubs. Here is how a few of them fared in the second weekend of MLS action.
Note: Marco Donadel didn’t feature in the Impact’s 3-0 win over the New York Red Bulls due to injury.
