Antonio Conte and Chelsea are near a deal, but the backroom staff issue is becoming a roadblock.
In an article from The Times, an English newspaper, Conte claims to want ten men join his back room staff.
The current Italy coach has a massive team at the Azzurri, comprised of 18 personnel. The list includes tactical analysts, assistant coaches and medical staff. It has been reported that he wants to hand pick at least 10 of them.
The question becomes if Chelsea wants to pay for Conte’s backroom army, at this moment in time it is an issue of negotiation. Perhaps as to why this deal hasn’t already been announced.
On his wishlist are long serving assistants to Conte in the form of Massimo Ferrera and Angelo Alessio, who are currently a part of the Italy setup.
The veteran goalkeeping coach, Gianluca Spinelli is also a part of the plans.
Other names include Paolo Bertelli, Constantino Coratti and Antonio Gagliardi, who serve as fitness coaches.
