IFD’s morning news blast for May 28th, 2016
- Tuttosport is reporting Alvaro Negredo may be Balotelli’s replacement in the summer time. The Spanish forward’s services would cost around €8 million.
- Juventus and Alvaro Morata are expected to meet very shortly to further clarify the #9’s future. It’s a tough deal to close, so Juventus have begun looking at alternatives such as Romelu Lukaku.
- Edison Cavani is close to signing a contract renewal with PSG, and thus Juventus have given up on their hunt for the Uruguayan striker.
- Antonio Conte is expected to start Riccardo Montolivo against Scotland for Italy on Sunday, to further test the midfielder’s physical capabilities.
- AC Milan have been linked by Tuttosport with Real Madrid’s Mateo Kovacic. The ex-Inter midfielder did not have a good first year in Spain and due to Galliani’s relationship with the Madrid directorship, this rumor may begin to progress.

- Inter have met with Atletico Madrid’s brass and have decided on a price tag for Marcelo Brozovic. The Croatian will cost at least €30 million.
- Domenico Berardi’s agent spoke to TuttoJuve.com, and stated that there has been no contact with the Bianconeri and that many clubs are waiting at the door for the young Italian’s signature.
- Juventus are reportedly getting closer to the double signing of Javier Mascherano and Dani Alves from Barcelona. Stephan Lichtsteiner may be on his way out.
- Corriere dello Sport reported Thiago Motta and Riccardo Montolivo have progressed nicely from the fitness troubles, while Daniele De Rossi continues to struggle with an Achilles’ tendon problem.
- With De Rossi’s struggles, Jorginho has been labeled as a “guarantee” to be brought to France for the European Championship.
