Is Dani Alves Heading To Juventus On A Free Transfer?

The decorated Barcelona right-back may have closed the chapter on a successful career in Barcelona and started a new one by reportedly joining the Italian champions.

The news was a real jaw-dropper for many Juventus fans today as reports surfaced around the web that Dani Alves was saying goodbye to his trophy-laden career at Barcelona and embarking on a new adventure in Serie A with the Scudetto holders. As reported by Spanish publications the likes of Marca and Cadena Ser, the Brazilian right-back is to have signed off on a three-year deal with Juventus where he would arrive on a free transfer. Barca will save around 8 million due to his departure and Juventus will have saved themselves a transfer fee to pay.

As per Marca, negotiations between club and player began after the Copa del Rey Final. The 33-year old is currently on duty with the Brazilian National Team as they look ahead to the Copa America and he is too be released by Barcelona at the conclusion of it. At the moment, Barcelona have denied any and all reports of Alves’ departure.

Should Alves officially leave Barcelona for a new beginning in Serie A, he will have left having collected three Champions League titles, five La Liga titles, three Copa del Rey titles, five Spanish Supercups, three European Supercups and three FIFA Club World Cup titles, all with the Blaugrana
