A possible exit by Neto may open the door for the arrival of a former Juventus youth product to become the next vice-Buffon.
Itching for more appearances on the pitch, Neto is increasingly likely to pack his bags in the summer and Juventus have already begun searching for his replacement. As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus have shortlisted Bologna goalkeeper Antonio Mirante as Gianluigi Buffon’s future back-up.
The 32-year old shot-stopper was signed from Parma on a free transfer over the summer and went on to play 33 games this season, collecting 12 clean sheets. Mirante was developed in Juventus’ youth system before being sold to Sampdoria back in 2008.
