As per TuttoMercatoWeb, Roma have until June 22nd to purchase the Italian-Egyptian winger out-right from Milan. Sporting Director Walter Sabatini will hand over €13 million to the Rossoneri for El Shaarawy, for which the latter will reinvest into the summer market.
The 23-year old went through a rough patch over the course of the last year, being sent on loan to Monaco after struggling to recover from injuries at Milan. His playing time did not improve with the Ligue 1 competitors as they avoided playing him in the minimum number of games to trigger the automatic purchase clause added to the loan deal. A new loan at Roma acted as a blessing in disguise for the younger winger where he became a vital piece to Spalletti’s attack.
