The Brazilian prodigy is ready to move on from Santos and Fiorentina is prepared to offer him his dream transfer to Europe.
Living up to his adopted nickname Gabigol, Gabriel Barbosa has lit up the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and recently came off a scoring debut in his first International cap with Brazil. With his sights set on taking over Europe in the near future, one Serie A club is ready to accept him with arms wide open. According to ESPN via La Gazzetta dello Sport, Fiorentina have sent his parent club Santos an offer €30 million but a deal could be more difficult for La Viola due to the player’s desire to play at a top club.
It is reported that the 19-year old favors a move away from Santos but only to a club the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich. Fiorentina could find it very tough to convince the Brazilian otherwise although the prospect of regularly playing time will likely be higher at the Serie A club than at one of the aforementioned three. Borussia Dortmund are also rumored to be interested in Gabriel but no official offer has been presented to Santos.
