Inter to sell big trio this summer: The names

Inter’s mercato strategy seems to be set on selling as numerous factors begin to merge.

La Gazzetta dello Sport ran a story today discussing the transfer plans of Internazionale this summer, ‘everybody’s on the market and they all have a price’.

Individuals, the sacrificial players and the eventual plan to get Mancini the players he wants/needs to bring Inter back into the UEFA Champions League. They want to sell their players for top dollar and look to rebuild (again), with FFP restrictions put on the club, Thohir and co. must sell key components of last year’s Nerazzurri.

Marcelo Brozovic seems the first likely to go, the Croatia international has a contract until 2020 worth €1.2 million a season. Taking everything into account, his marketability included, Brozovic would fetch a very large transfer fee. Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are heavily interested and would make up a large portion of the war chest Thohir wants to assemble for other purchases. The suggested fee is €35 million for Brozovic.
Other players who seem destined to leave are Jeison Murillo and Felipe Melo, who earn modest salaries and could be sold for decent money, especially the Colombian international.
Miscellaneous players set to leave to fund this summer’s transfer session are Ranocchia, Dodo, Laxalt, Santon and Andreolli who will most likely be bought out by Sevilla for €2.5 million.
