The long-standing captain will once again wear the Parma jersey after renewing his contract for another season.
Clinching a Europa League spot, failing to secure a UEFA license, bankruptcy and relegation to Serie D, going undefeated season in Serie D Girone D and earning automatic promotion up to Lega Pro, 38-year old Alessandro Lucarelli has experienced it all while wearing the captain armband at Parma. He has gone through the very highs and very lows with the club but never turned his back on them as they plummeted down to the fourth tier of Italian football.
As announced on Parma’s official website, Alessandro Lucarelli has renewed for another year and will be taking the field in the club’s Lega Pro campaign next season.
