The newly-promoted Calabrians want to bolster their front-line and believe the young Senegalese forward can be a perfect fit.
For any new club moving up to Serie A, the first order to business is to strengthen their squad to compete and avoid relegation. Crotone are planning exactly that and according to Tuttosport, club President Raffaele Vrenna has identified Fiorentina’s Khouma Babacar as having the right profile to fit with the team. However, despite a good relationship between both clubs, Crotone may have difficulty negotiating a deal. Fiorentina prefer to sell the 23-year old center forward outright instead of a loan but Crotone do not have the financial resources to complete such a deal.
Babacar only appeared in 18 games this season for Fiorentina and missed the tail-end of the season due to a muscle tear. He scored 7 goals and collected an assist in all competitions.
