Inter are looking to reinforce their backline with Cristian Ansaldi from Genoa.
The Nerazzurri are changing their transfer strategy to sign first team ready players who can immediately give a hand to the beleaguered Milano side. Fullbacks have been a spot of weakness for Mancini’s side, one player is Caner Erkin who is a free agent this summer, however a concrete option is Cristian Ansaldi.
The Argentina man born in 1986, who seems set to depart from Genoa once the Grifone buy him out from Zenit St. Petersburg.
Mancini and the Inter directors are fond of Ansaldi, according to FcInterNews and there are certain contracts the two clubs can exchange in order to come to an agreement. The Nerazzurri and Genoa frequently conduct business with several players heading between Genoa and Milan.
The offer for Ansaldi at the moment includes letting Genoa keep Laxalt and receiving Assane Gnoukouri on loan for the 2016/17 season.
Genoa’s president Preziosi is waiting until the end of the season to make any decisions and is taking his time due to other clubs interested. Roma have expressed interest to purchase Ansaldi via cash, and help the club buy out the defender from Zenit.
That is a significant advantage over Inter’s strategy, as Genoa are looking to acquire more cash for the Summer mercato.
