The Italians are looking to rotate out a few of their stars in order to recover ahead of the clash with Spain.
(3-5-2) Sirigu – Ogbonna, Bonucci, Barzagli – De Sciglio, Florenzi, Thiago Motta, Sturaro, Bernardeschi – Immobile, Zaza.
A complete overhaul of some of the key positions, Salvatore Sirigu comes in to replace captain Gianluigi Buffon. Meanwhile, Giorgio Chiellini is replaced by Angelo Ogbonna in the defense.
The midfield is completely flopped from last game as Candreva, Giaccherini, Parolo, De Rossi and Darmian are all rested. The same style will be deployed against Ireland albeit it different personnel.
One player to watch in particular is Federico Bernardeschi on the right side of the midfield and to see how he handles the Irish attack.
Up top, Immobile and Zaza could replace Eder and Pelle for a new style of outright attack.
Conte, while not a fan of telling the media his plans before the match, is very likely to rest most of his stars ahead of the match with Spain in the Round of 16.
