After a rejuvenating loan spell back in Italy, all signs point to AS Roma redeeming the star Italian winger Stephan El Shaarawy from the Rossoneri.
Life in Monaco did not go according to plan for “il Faraone.” After manager Leonardo Jardim declared Stephan El Shaarawy no longer part of his blueprint for the future, the Azzurri winger was frozen from making his 25th cap for the club, preventing the appearance clause from being triggered by the Ligue 1 side. However, thanks to Roma, the 23-year old was given a lifeline at making Antonio Conte’s Euro 2016 squad.
According to Gianluca di Marzio, the Giallorossi plan to redeem the gifted El Shaarawy from Milan by Wednesday night, the deadline to purchase him outright and keep him in the Italian capital for the foreseeable future.
El Shaarawy, with the help of manager Luciano Spalletti, shined bright once again scoring eight goals and tallying two assists in 16 league matches since his January return to Serie A.
