The Nerazzurri are searching to rebuild the club’s fullback roles this summer.
Fist Erkin, now Ansaldi. Inter are renovating all aspects of the club’s defense in the offseason after a campaign in which they struggled to defend leads all season long.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, all the parties have agreed to terms and the official announcement is imminent. Cristian Ansaldi is set to undergo his medical visits and then will put pen to paper on the documents.
He’s an important reinforcement for Mancini’s Inter, and it was a hard fight to get him. Lazio and Roma were heavily interested in the Argentina man, but were beaten by the Nerazzurri.
Genoa had purchased him last season on a loan-to-buy from Zenit St. Petersburg. A few weeks ago, the Genovese exercised their option to buy him out and did so for around €8 million. Now they’ve sold him to Inter for an undisclosed amount.
